The Big Draw – Day 6: Car & A Doodle

Today Dylan decided to draw from life! Here’s his picture of a car:

And here’s the car he was drawing:

I was tired by late afternoon – I had a deadline today, and as always, after I meet a deadline, I just want to sit and zone out. Feeling pretty listless, I thought about drawing all manner of things but everything felt like too much effort. I still wanted to draw, though, and found myself doodling. Since I put pen to paper, I thought, well, a doodle could still count! So here is my doodle – it was incredibly relaxing to do:

Doodle. Pen.
Doodle. Pen.

Tomorrow should be better for me. I always like to relax and play a bit the day after a deadline, and my next deadline isn’t until Friday (and after that, it’s a holiday weekend around here – Canadian Thanksgiving!).

I'd love to hear from you: Click here to add your thoughts!

I love Dylan’s car, especially since he changed the color…a man with his own mind.
and your doodle reminds me of my top stitching on quilts…a fun doodle, and it would be fun to color too. Thanks for the idea.

I used to do this kind of doodling using gel pens on black Arches paper. I’d forgotten about it until today. I’m really loving my Big Draw experiences. Thanks, Lynn, for all of your lovely and warm comments!

How I LOVE to see your work and your son’s work side by side, just lovely. I like that he painted the red car in its opposite colour, interesting.
    Great drawing, painting and doodling!
    Thanks for sharing
