Thanks, everyone. Dylan’s been finding the Big Draw quite exciting – I think what he likes most is picking out the drawing he wants to put up for the day! And as for me, I have been finding such deep satisfaction sitting down with paper and pen.

Teli, you’ve described it perfectly – when I try to draw from my imagination, it is harder to “see” the lines in my head and put them down on paper.

You guys are all so wonderful.

I just love the cup and the bottle.These are great examples for simple beauty! and the three beautiful things are like poetry:)

Belle, Dylan has tremendous talent (and I’m not just saying that because he’s cute as a button, either). He does have strong lines and a good eye.

And so do you. You have an excellent eye.

One thing I’ve learned about drawing over the years is that it improves as the strength of your hand improves. As you practice, your hand-eye coordination will continue to improve and before you know it, you’ll be drawing from your imagination in no time. (Drawing from your imagination is much more difficult when the lines you see in your head don’t match the lines you put down on paper. LOL)

Your coke bottle stands strong and firm in the page center. Done in pen too. glass is always a challenge, I find. Have fun w/ your Mom
